Each year Prince Bishops Shopping Centre, with the help of the public, selects a local charity to work with for twelve months. Through events and other initiatives, the aim is to raise the profile of the selected charity. One of the requirements is that the charity won't already receive a lot of support or funding.

Throughout 2016 Prince Bishops Shopping Centre are extremely proud to be supporting If U Care Share Foundation, a suicide prevention charity based in Great Lumley, County Durham.

Prince Bishops management and security team have organised a number of events in order to raise awareness and funds for the charity including a sponsored abseil, a  fun day, a row-a-thon and a bike-a-thon. Additionally the charity were given free advertising space in the shopping centre magazine, Pulse as well as on site advertising to raise awareness.
