  • What are the opening times?

  • Monday – Saturday: 9.00am – 5.30pm
    Sunday: 11.00am – 5.00pm

  • Where can I park?

  • Parking could not be easier at Prince Bishops Shopping Centre, with a 400 space award winning safe and secure car park located beneath it. The car park, which is easily accessible from Leazes Road, is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

  • In recognition of its exceptionally high standards, it received the first European Parking Award in the region. It also has been awarded the Park Mark Award for the eleventh year running for safe and secure parking.

  • Paring Tariff

  • Special Night Owl Evening Tariff

  • Park overnight for less – only £1.50 from after 6pm until 8am the next day. (To qualify for the Night Owl tariff, you must enter the car park after 6pm. If entering before 6pm the daytime tariff will apply until 10pm).

  • How do I get to Prince Bishops?

  • Prince Bishops is conveniently located in the centre of Durham City and can be easily reached from both the A1(M) or A19, by taking the turn off for the A690 into Durham City.

  • For drivers with Satellite Navigation the post code is DH1 3UJ.

  • Prince Bishops can also be easily reached by public transport, with regular bus services to the centre from surrounding areas, and the railway station is less than 10 minutes walk away.

  • Is there a Shopmobility scheme?

  • The Durham Shopmobility Scheme is located on level 1 of the Prince Bishops Car Park. Those with limited mobility can hire motorised scooters, manual wheelchairs, and power assisted wheelchairs here, to assist in accessibility to Durham’s shopping and leisure facilities.

  • Shopmobility is for anyone, young or old, with a temporary or permanent disability.

  • You will need to register on your first visit, so take along identification which shows your name and address. You can then hire equipment on a short-term basis (per hour) or on a long-term basis (2 days or more).
