Shopmobility
The Durham Shopmobility Scheme is located on the ground floor of the Prince Bishops Car Park. Those with limited mobility can hire motorised scooters, manual wheelchairs, and power assisted wheelchairs here, to assist in accessibility to Durham’s shopping and leisure facilities.
Shopmobility is for anyone, young or old, with a temporary or permanent disability.
You will need to register on your first visit, so take along identification which shows your name and address. You can then hire equipment on a short-term basis (per hour) or on a long-term basis (2 days or more).
